Opportunities for Artists & Creatives in New Mexico
The New Mexico Arts, Culture & Creativity Network is a state-wide network to share information, foster collaboration, build community and facilitate innovation within our many creative communities. We are unifying, connecting and supporting New Mexico’s artists and creatives as well as the global creative community in order to sustain our artistic and cultural heritage. As a collection and distribution channel of cultural data generated by regional, national and international arts institutions, creative businesses and funders, we hope to create an active network of creative professionals sharing opportunities and information while driving our creative economy.
New Mexico truly stands out with its incredible concentration of artists, artisans, and professionals deeply rooted in various creative industries, from fine arts and museums to heritage crafts and cultural tourism. We have an exceptionally vibrant and diverse creative workforce that adds immense value to our state's identity and economy. However, despite this inherent talent and rich cultural tapestry, many of these creative professionals often face significant hurdles. Across the state, there's a noticeable shortage of vital economic resources, robust educational programs, essential marketing assistance, grant writing support, and critical mentorship and networking opportunities. This fragmented landscape can make it challenging for them to develop sustainable enterprises and truly thrive.
Recognizing that human creativity and capacity are the driving forces behind New Mexico's future economy, especially as we transition from traditional industries, we're deeply committed to investing in and supporting this cultural sector. That's why Go Artist Go proudly volunteers its time and expertise to run the New Mexico Arts, Culture & Creativity Network (NMACCN). Our mission with this groundbreaking, state-wide initiative is to create a dynamic virtual space where creative organizations and professionals can amplify their voices, share resources, and connect. We aim to enrich the existing networks within New Mexico's many diverse communities, fostering collaboration and acting as a catalyst for collective growth. This work is all about empowering our local creative entrepreneurs, ensuring we preserve our unique heritage and cultural diversity while building sustainable livelihoods across the state.
